Description

MATLAB (MATtrix LABoratory) is a multi-paradigm numerical computing environment and fourth-generation programming language. Developed by MathWorks, MATLAB allows matrix manipulations, plotting of functions and data, implementation of algorithms, creation of user interfaces, and interfacing with programs written in other languages, including C, C++, Java, FORTRAN and Python.

Please follow below instructions in order to download and install the MATLAB

For those of you that are using managed desktops you do not have to do anything as we have performed relevant license updates on our side.

New MATLAB users

If you are not a current user, and want to install Matlab

  1. Create a MathWorks account (https://uk.mathworks.com/mwaccount/register)
  2. During the registration you *must* use your university email address (@qmul.ac.uk)
  3. When asked "How will you use Mathworks software?" choose "Teaching or research in school"
  4. To associate your account with TAH license, go to the License Center (mathworks.com/licensecenter), and click on "Add License"  in the upper right hand corner.
  5. Choose "Associate by Activation Key" and use the following activation key: 16339-74143-80000-94415-32670.
  6. Go to: https://mathworks.com/downloads. Click the download button for the current release. Click the installer button to download the installer.
  7. Locate and start the installer you downloaded in a file browser. It should be located in the default download location, unless you specified another location.
  8. In the MathWorks installer, select Log in with a MathWorks Account and follow the online instructions. When prompted to do so, select the license you want to use. Select the products you want to download and install.
  9. After downloading and installing your products, keep the Activate MATLAB checkbox selected and click Next

Students

Our Matlab TAH Student license allows you to install Matlab on your personal equipment.
